What Quso.ai really costs

Quso is one of the few clippers whose cost per unit can be derived cleanly, because it defines the unit itself: one credit is roughly one minute of processed video, and clipping, captioning and editing all spend from the same pool. Dividing plan price by credits gives the cost of processing one minute of source video: about $0.29 on Lite ($29 ÷ 100 credits), about $0.13 on Essential ($39 ÷ 300) and about $0.08 on Growth ($49 ÷ 600).

Two things follow. First, Lite is poor value as a processing plan — at 100 credits it barely exceeds the free plan's 75, so its real product is unlimited 1080p export and the desktop editor, not volume. Second, the honest comparison metric against rivals is your monthly source minutes: a podcaster processing four hours a month (240 minutes) fits Essential with room to spare, while a daily streamer will outgrow even Growth and should compare against per-minute rivals before committing.

$0.29

Per processed minute on Lite ($29/month ÷ 100 credits; 1 credit ≈ 1 minute)

$0.13

$0.08

Credit definition and plan figures are from Quso.ai's official pricing page, checked Nov 2026. 'Roughly one minute' is Quso's own wording — heavy editing and reprocessing of the same source spends additional credits.

What is Quso.ai?

Quso.ai — the product formerly known as Vidyo.ai — is an all-in-one repurposing platform built around a simple idea: one upload should produce a week of content. Its AI watches a long video, scores moments for viral potential, and cuts the best of them into vertical clips with animated captions. Around that clipping core it wraps the rest of the weekly workflow creators usually buy separately: a text-based editor where you cut video by deleting words from the transcript, filler-word and silence removal, scheduling to seven social platforms, and analytics to see what the clips did.

The pricing is refreshingly legible for this category. Everything spends credits, and Quso defines a credit on its pricing page as roughly one minute of processed video — clipping, captioning and editing all draw from the same monthly pool. That makes the buying question arithmetic rather than guesswork: count the minutes of source video you publish each month and pick the tier that covers them. The free plan, where available, is a genuine 75 credits a month rather than a demo, though its output is 720p and watermarked.

How Quso.ai works

  1. 1Create a free account and import a video — YouTube, Vimeo, X, Facebook, Twitch, Rumble, Loom, LinkedIn, Zoom, Google Drive, Dropbox or a direct upload all work, including on the free plan.
  2. 2Let Quso score the video and propose clips; review the candidates it picks rather than accepting the full batch — virality scoring is a filter, not a verdict.
  3. 3Edit the keepers in the text editor: delete words to cut the video, let it strip fillers and silences, and pick a caption style (word-level animated captions, subtitles in up to 99 languages).
  4. 4Reframe and resize per platform — 9:16, 16:9 and 1:1 are covered — and apply your brand kit if you are on Growth.
  5. 5Publish to TikTok directly, or schedule across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Pinterest from Essential upwards.
  6. 6Check the analytics (Growth) to learn which moments actually performed, then feed that back into what you record next month.

Core features

AI clipping with virality scoring

Quso analyses a long video and scores every moment by predicted performance, so you review the strongest candidates first. On the free plan its CutMagic feature applies to your first three videos.

Captions and subtitles in 99 languages

Word-level animated captions plus AI subtitles in 99 languages and automatic filler-word removal, per Quso's homepage FAQ — the captioning layer is fully built in rather than a separate subscription.

Text-based video editor

Edit the video by editing the transcript: delete words, remove silences, add B-roll. For talking content this is much faster than timeline scrubbing, and it is the same interface on every plan (the advanced desktop editor starts on Lite).

Scheduling to seven platforms

TikTok publishing is included on free and Lite; Essential unlocks scheduling to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Pinterest from one calendar, with a Content Planner alongside.

Broad import support

YouTube, Vimeo, X, Facebook, Twitch, Rumble, Loom, LinkedIn and Zoom imports plus Drive, Dropbox and local uploads — and Quso states every source works on the free plan, which is not true of every rival.

Credits that map to minutes

One credit is roughly one minute of processed video across clipping, captioning and editing (Quso's own pricing FAQ). Allowances run 75/month free, 100 on Lite, 300 on Essential and 600 on Growth.

Brand kit and analytics on Growth

Growth adds a custom brand kit with logos, colors and fonts, unlimited branded templates, the Viddy AI content assistant, social analytics and priority support — the tier aimed at teams rather than solo creators.

The free plan — the full truth

Quso's free plan is real but geographically uneven, and Quso says so itself: its homepage FAQ states that in some countries you get a free plan with 75 credits a month, while in others you buy one-time credit packs with no subscription — its pricing page shows the terms for your country. Where the free plan exists, it is a working allowance: about 75 minutes of processed video a month, all import sources enabled, chapters and short videos, three aspect ratios and TikTok publishing.

The catches are on output quality and housekeeping. The pricing page states free clips are 720p with a quso.ai watermark, and data retention on free is only 7 days — your projects are not an archive. Whether free-plan clips may be used commercially is not addressed on the pages we read, so this review leaves that field unverified rather than assuming it. Paid plans remove the practical limits quickly: Lite already allows unlimited 1080p clips (the watermark language disappears from the paid tiers), and Essential is where scheduling to all seven platforms begins.

  • • 75 credits/month free — roughly 75 minutes of processed video (where the free plan is offered; some countries get credit packs instead)
  • • Free clips are 720p and carry a quso.ai watermark (official pricing page)
  • • 7-day data retention on the free plan
  • • Free publishing is TikTok only; scheduling to all seven platforms starts on Essential
  • • Commercial-use terms for free output are not stated on the pages we read

All plan figures are from Quso.ai's official pricing page, checked Nov 2026. The page quotes the same per-month figure for annual billing (for example Lite at $348 billed annually); tax may be added at checkout. Quso notes that in some countries a free plan is replaced by one-time credit packs.

Pros

  • + Published credit ladder with a unit (≈1 minute) you can actually plan around
  • + Clipping, transcript editing, scheduling and analytics in one subscription
  • + Generous free plan where offered — 75 credits/month with every import source working
  • + Captions in 99 languages and filler-word removal built in
  • + Essential at $39 is sensibly priced for weekly multi-platform publishing

Cons

  • − Lite's 100 credits is a weak step up from the free 75 — most buyers should skip to Essential
  • − Free clips are watermarked, 720p and deleted after 7 days
  • − Free plan availability varies by country
  • − Brand kit waits until Growth, so Lite and Essential output looks generic

Best for

  • ✓ Podcasters turning each episode into a week of shorts
  • ✓ Coaches, churches and small businesses recording long sessions regularly
  • ✓ Creators who currently pay separately for a clipper and a scheduler
  • ✓ Agencies wanting one repurposing tool with analytics on the top tier

Not ideal for

  • ✕ Gaming streamers who need gameplay-event detection rather than speech-based clipping
  • ✕ Anyone whose monthly source footage runs to many hours — credit pools will cap you
  • ✕ Users who need a brand kit on a budget tier

Quso.ai alternatives

See all alternatives →

OpusClip is the premium benchmark in this category — its virality scoring is the reference implementation and its free plan, while watermarked, is a fair test; choose it if moment quality is everything and budget is secondary. Vizard is the team-and-agency alternative, with speaker detection and brand templates for webinar and podcast volume. Klap is the simplest solo option: one link in, shorts out, with less machinery around it. Quso.ai's pitch against all three is breadth per dollar — it is the only one of the four bundling scheduling to seven platforms and analytics into the same subscription at these prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Quso.ai free?

In many countries, yes: a free plan with 75 credits a month (roughly 75 minutes of processing), 720p watermarked clips and TikTok publishing. Quso notes that in some countries it sells one-time credit packs instead — the pricing page shows your country's arrangement.

What is a Quso credit worth?

About one minute of processed video, per Quso's pricing FAQ — clipping, captioning and editing all draw from the same pool. On paid plans that works out at roughly $0.29 per minute on Lite, $0.13 on Essential and $0.08 on Growth.

Is Quso.ai the same as Vidyo.ai?

Yes. Quso.ai is Vidyo.ai renamed, and Quso states on its pricing page that existing Vidyo plans and pricing carried over unchanged.

Does Quso put a watermark on free clips?

Yes — the official pricing page lists the free plan as 720p with a quso.ai watermark. Paid plans export unlimited 1080p clips.

Quso.ai or OpusClip?

OpusClip is the specialist: stronger moment detection, branding and virality tooling for pure clipping. Quso.ai is the all-in-one: clipping plus transcript editing, scheduling to seven platforms and analytics (on Growth) in one bill. If you currently pay for a scheduler as well as a clipper, Quso usually wins on total cost.

Which Quso plan should I buy?

Count your monthly source minutes. Under ~100 minutes and mainly needing clean exports: Lite. A weekly podcast or show (up to ~300 minutes) with multi-platform scheduling: Essential — the tier we would start from. Daily content, branding and analytics: Growth.
