Our verdict

Best for giving photos and clips a third dimension — depth motion for feeds and spatial video for headsets — from media you already own.

What Immersity AI really costs

The sticker price is $5 a month — but the sticker is rarely the whole bill. Image plan $4.99/month for 500 credits; credits expire monthly; video conversion costs extra credits per minute; entry price rounded.

On a credit-based plan, what you actually pay depends on how many generations you throw away, because rejected takes still burn credits. Budget per finished clip, not per generation.

We do not publish a per-unit figure for Immersity AI here: its rates vary by model and settings, and we only publish per-unit numbers that can be derived from an official rate card. The entry price above is from Immersity AI's public pricing, checked Nov 2026 — treat it as a floor, not a monthly total.

What is Immersity AI?

Immersity AI is Leia Inc.'s 2D-to-3D converter, renamed from LeiaPix in 2024 and extended from stills to video. Its depth engine analyses a flat photo or clip, builds a depth map, and separates foreground from background so the result can move: as an Immersive Motion clip that pans and zooms with parallax for social feeds, as a side-by-side 3D image or video, as spatial video (MV-HEVC) for Apple Vision Pro, or as a depth map for other tools. The consumer service now lives in the Immersity web app and mobile apps, while the immersity.ai homepage itself presents Leia's broader spatial-AI and display business.

Nothing here is generative in the text-to-video sense: Immersity cannot invent footage, only re-dimension footage. That makes it a poor fit for most of the jobs in this catalog and an excellent fit for two specific ones — making still photos move with real depth instead of a flat Ken Burns pan, and preparing personal or commercial media for 3D displays and headsets, which is Leia's home ground as a display company.

How Immersity AI works

  1. 1Open the Immersity web app (or the free mobile app) and upload a 2D photo or video — video accepts MP4, MKV or MOV in H.264/H.265 up to 2GB, per its help pages.
  2. 2Let the depth engine build the scene's depth map and preview the 3D result.
  3. 3Choose the output: Immersive Motion for a moving social clip, 3D Image or 3D Video (side-by-side), spatial video for Vision Pro, Album Motion, or a depth map.
  4. 4Adjust motion and depth settings to taste — subtle depth survives compression and looks classier than maximum parallax.
  5. 5Export. Free exports are watermarked at up to 720p; paid plans export up to 4K without a watermark and with commercial use.
  6. 6Watch your credit balance: conversions draw monthly credits that expire, and video costs scale by the minute and resolution.

Core features

2D-to-3D image conversion

Still photos become depth-based 3D images with foreground/background separation, viewable on normal screens, 3D displays and headsets. The Image plan exists purely for this at $4.99/month.

Immersive Motion

Photos become short animated clips with camera movement through the depth of the scene — the social-media output, exportable as MP4 or GIF, and the mobile app's party trick with up to five photos per reel.

2D-to-3D video conversion

Whole clips convert to side-by-side 3D or spatial video (MV-HEVC for Apple Vision Pro). Credit costs run per minute and rise with resolution, which is why the Video tiers carry thousands of credits.

Depth maps

The underlying depth map itself can be exported, useful for compositors and developers who want Leia's depth estimation inside their own pipeline.

Apple Music Album Motion

A niche but real output: animated album artwork generated from a still cover, aimed at artists and labels publishing to Apple Music.

Mobile apps

Immersity for Mobile on iOS and Android is free with a minor watermark and turns up to five photos into a motion reel — the easiest way to test whether the depth effect suits your content before paying for web plans.

The free plan — the full truth

The free offer has two halves that are often confused. The mobile app is free with a minor watermark and makes motion reels from up to five photos. The web service shows a free tier with watermarked conversions up to 720p and no commercial use — while its own FAQ has also said there is no free version of Immersity for Web, so treat web-free availability as something to confirm in your account rather than a promise. Either way, free output is for personal experimentation.

Paid plans are where publishing lives: no watermark, exports up to 4K and commercial use included, per the pricing page. The trap to avoid is the credit clock — web credits expire every month, so a Video plan bought for one big conversion project should be bought in the month you will actually convert, and canceled when the project ends.

  • • Free conversions are watermarked and capped at 720p
  • • Free output carries no commercial use
  • • Web free-tier availability is contradicted by the site's own FAQ — confirm in-account
  • • Monthly credits expire; unused credits do not roll over
  • • Video conversion costs scale per minute and by resolution (roughly 100–600 credits/minute)

Cons

  • ✓ Vision Pro and 3D-display owners converting personal media
  • ✓ Artists making Apple Music Album Motion artwork
  • ✓ Studios preparing 2D libraries for spatial platforms

Not ideal for

  • ✕ Sporadic converters who will waste expiring monthly credits

Immersity AI alternatives

See all alternatives →

There is no true like-for-like alternative in our catalog — no other listed tool converts 2D media to 3D. The neighbouring choices depend on what you actually wanted: if the goal was making a still photo move for social feeds, Pika and PixVerse animate images into ordinary 2D clips with effects, and Luma Dream Machine gives smooth cinematic motion. If the goal was preparing footage for a bigger screen, the enhancers — Topaz Video or Aiarty — raise quality without adding depth. Immersity is the only pick when the third dimension itself is the point.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Immersity AI the same as LeiaPix?

Yes — Leia renamed LeiaPix to Immersity AI in 2024 and extended it from images to video. The converter now lives in the Immersity web and mobile apps.

Is Immersity AI free?

The mobile app is free with a minor watermark, and the web pricing page shows a free tier with watermarked 720p conversions and no commercial use — though the site's FAQ has contradicted web-free availability, so confirm in your account. Paid plans start at $4.99/month.

Can I use Immersity output commercially?

On paid web plans, yes — commercial use is listed as included, with no watermark and up to 4K export. Free output is explicitly not for commercial use.

How do credits work?

Each conversion costs credits by type, resolution and — for video — duration, roughly 100–600 credits per minute of video. Credits are granted monthly by plan and expire at the end of the month.

Does Immersity generate video from text?

No. It converts existing 2D photos and videos into 3D and motion formats. For generated footage, look at the text-to-video tools in our catalog such as Runway or Kling AI.
