Our verdict

Best for creators who need narrated videos in many languages from a script, a blog post or an idea — the voice library is the product, the visuals support it.

What Fliki really costs

Fliki bills in credits that are deducted from the duration of audio generated and video exported — not per video file. Fliki's pricing FAQ is explicit that if you modify text or change a voice or a pause, the audio is reprocessed and charged again. So the real cost of a finished video is the cost of its final narration plus every draft of that narration you generated along the way. Lock the script before you generate, and a 5-minute video stays a 5-minute charge; keep rewriting inside the editor and the same video can cost several times more.

Because the per-minute credit rate varies with the voice tier and the features used in a scene, there is no single honest per-finished-minute figure we can print from the pricing page. The plan arithmetic that matters is simpler: Standard's 180 credits a month suit a handful of narrated videos, and Fliki itself estimates that allowance at roughly 60 to 90 minutes of finished content if the scripts are finalised first.

Credit behaviour is from Fliki's official pricing page and its FAQ, checked Nov 2026. No cost cards are shown because Fliki does not publish one fixed per-minute rate that applies across voice tiers and scene types.

What is Fliki?

Fliki turns written material into narrated video. You paste a script, drop in a blog post, feed it a presentation or start from a short idea, and Fliki builds a timeline of scenes, matches stock images and clips to each line, adds a generated voiceover and burns in captions. The part it is known for is the voice side: a library that runs from a few hundred voices on the free plan to more than 2,000 on the top tier, across more than 80 languages, so one script can become versions for several markets without booking a voice artist for any of them.

The editor is deliberately simple. Scenes sit in a list, you click a line to change its wording, its voice or its picture, and the video updates around it. That makes Fliki a production line for explainers, listicles, course clips and social posts rather than a place to craft one perfect shot. If your bottleneck is recording narration in several languages, it removes that bottleneck. If your bottleneck is original, cinematic imagery, it does not — the pictures are mostly stock or generated stills supporting the words.

How Fliki works

  1. 1Start on the free plan — no credit card is required — and pick a route in: idea, script, blog post or presentation.
  2. 2Paste or write your text and split it into short lines; each line becomes a scene with its own visual and narration.
  3. 3Choose a voice and language. Test two or three voices on the first lines before generating the whole video, because voice choice changes how the script lands.
  4. 4Let Fliki match stock visuals to each scene, then replace any clip that does not fit the line it sits under — mismatches are the most common flaw.
  5. 5Add captions, check names and numbers in the narration, and fix pronunciation before you export, because re-generating audio after an edit spends credits again.
  6. 6Export at 720p on the free plan (with the watermark) or 1080p on a paid plan, and publish directly or download the file.

Core features

Text-to-video with narration

Scripts, ideas, blog posts and presentations become scene-based videos with generated voiceover, matched visuals and music in one pass, so a written asset turns into a watchable one without a camera or a microphone.

Large voice library

The free plan includes 300 voices, Standard 1,000 with 500 described as ultra-realistic, and Premium more than 2,000. Coverage runs to over 80 languages, which is the main reason multilingual channels pick Fliki.

Automatic subtitles

Captions are generated from the narration and styled into the video, which matters for muted social feeds and for viewers watching in a second language.

Blog-to-video conversion

An existing article can be fed in and converted into a narrated summary video, giving publishers a second format from content they have already written and approved.

Voice cloning

Standard includes one voice clone and Premium three, so a channel can keep a consistent presenter voice across videos without recording each episode.

Avatars and brand kits

Paid plans add stock avatars (limited on Standard, the full set on Premium), custom characters, brand kits and custom fonts on Premium, so repeat videos keep a recognisable house style.

The free plan — the full truth

According to Fliki's pricing page, the free plan gives you 3 credits per month, videos up to 5 minutes at 720p, and 300 voices across 80-plus languages, with no credit card required. You can export finished videos on it — our verified data confirms free exports are allowed — but every free video carries a Fliki watermark. Think of it as a monthly sample: enough to test whether the voices suit your content, not enough to run a channel on.

What we have not verified for the free plan is a commercial licence, so do not assume free output can be monetised. Fliki's own pricing page FAQ says the commercial licence comes with its subscription plans, and its comparison table marks commercial rights and watermark removal as paid-plan features. Standard, from $21/month billed annually, is the step that removes the watermark and adds those rights.

  • • 3 credits per month on the free plan
  • • Free videos carry a Fliki watermark and export at 720p, up to 5 minutes
  • • 300 voices on free, against 1,000 on Standard and 2,000+ on Premium
  • • Commercial rights are a paid-plan feature on Fliki's pricing page
  • • Editing a line re-generates its audio and spends credits again

If you want a presenter on screen rather than a voice over stock, Synthesia is the first alternative in our catalogue for this job — its avatar-led, corporate workflow suits training and company updates, though it is a different format from Fliki's narration-first videos. Colossyan is the better pick for workplace learning content built around avatars and scenarios. And if you would rather type one prompt and receive a complete faceless video — script, voice, visuals and captions assembled for you — InVideo AI automates more of the job than Fliki does, at the cost of scene-by-scene control.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fliki free?

Yes, there is a free plan with no credit card required, but it is small: according to Fliki's pricing page it includes 3 credits per month, videos up to 5 minutes at 720p, and every free video carries a Fliki watermark. It is a test allowance, not a publishing budget.

Does Fliki put a watermark on free videos?

Yes. Our verified data and Fliki's own pricing page agree that free-plan videos include the Fliki watermark. Watermark removal starts with the paid Standard plan.

How much does Fliki cost per video?

There is no per-video price. Credits are deducted from the duration of audio generated and video exported, and re-generating audio after an edit charges again. On Standard (180 credits a month), Fliki estimates roughly 60 to 90 minutes of finished content if scripts are finalised before generation — budget for drafts and the real figure falls.

Can I use Fliki videos commercially?

On paid plans, yes: Fliki's pricing page FAQ says subscription plans carry a commercial licence for content you create, provided your source text is original. We have not verified a commercial licence for free-plan output, so treat free videos as tests.

Does Fliki have an API?

According to Fliki's pricing page, API access is included on the Premium plan and on Enterprise; it is not part of Free or Standard. Our own verified data does not independently confirm API availability, so check the plan table before building on it.

Fliki or Pictory — which is better for turning articles into video?

They overlap, but the emphasis differs: Fliki's strength is its voice library and language range, so it suits publishers who need narration in many languages. Pictory leans into repurposing scripts and articles with stock matching. If the voice is the product, pick Fliki; if the article workflow is, compare both free tiers first.
